The Arc of King County

A nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering the civil rights of all persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive as equal, valued, and active in the community. Launched in January 2018, the Arc’s Parent Partner program connects parents and guardians needing support to navigate special education systems with “Parent Partners” who work for The Arc. It is the goal of this program to foster an atmosphere of family and professional collaboration in special education throughout King County, and to empower parents and guardians with the knowledge and skills they need to effectively advocate and meaningfully engage with their child’s education.
